Shuffling fixes up a double sided document which was scanned on a single sided scanner. If you scan one side of a stack of pages, flip the stack over, and then scan the other side, you can put the pages in the right order by pressing a single button.\

The shuffler allows you to split up a large document into two or more smaller documents, and it allows you to move individual pages within a document. \

If the whole document needs to be shuffled (all of the front pages of the document were scanned first, followed by all of the back pages), just click the "Shuffle All" button.\
You can also shuffle a group of pages within the document (for example, a group of double sided pages may have been appended to an existing document). Use the mouse to select the range of pages, and then click "Shuffle Selected".\

Use the mouse, to select one or more pages, and then choose "Selected Pages" under "Move to new Doc...". You can repeat this operation as many times as you need to.\
As a short cut, you can break out the first several pages of a document without having to select them by choosing one of the other items under "Move to new Doc..." \
